Wages not paid, injuries......sound familar?

Kettering’s previous game against York saw them ship seven goals; players leaving after wages not paid (sound familiar?), injuries, player embargo . . . and we think we have problems! Well, we had a real problem putting the ball into the onion bag as the game ended in a 0-0 draw.

The lack of points and goals didn’t stop some of our managers making hay in the prediction league – Julian Tutty is showing some real form and is now only a whisker away from top spot on 55 with John Berry’s third XI tucked just behind on 54 with Neil Raper a further point back on 53. Raymond Percival has put himself into contention with his eight-pointer on 52; Tim Hewitson starting to show up on the league leader radar is now on 47 along with Paul (Flip) Hodgson. Paul Robinson on 46.

Mike Cleasby first XI joins Mike Cleasby second XI on 40 points along with Russell Jones. Corey Neilson is doing more than OK on 39 points in joint 82nd place; Avril Dent has hit the heights of top half of the table on 37 points; Janet Heath and Kevin Kidger have ambitions of reaching that top half spot on 34 points

Chris Kane refuses to give up on that top spot, on 62 points and joint top with Malcolm Cundick. Steve Curtis in third on 60 followed by Jean Johnson 59, Ecnal Dnaleri on 58 and Martin Clarke on 56.

A HUUUUUUUUUUUGE gap of 6 points has opened up at the bottom – honestly, 6 points IS huge down among the stiffs. Richard Soul still on 12 but at least he’s got a host of managers on 18 points to aim for . . . Thomas Jackson, Phil Foster, Martyn Cripps Luke Hewitson and Andrew Pickersgill – some of the league’s finest managers fallen on hard times?
